September 26, 2009

Body exercise should be done in the right way, based on your age.  We usually see young people frantically pumping weights for better muscle tone at the gym. Even the ladies go for the body exercise at the gym without maintaining the postures right. Both will end up doing more harm than good to them, if no one teaches them the essential beginners guide. Your workout routine depends upon your age and life style. Here are certain tips that you need to know.

1)      Age group of 16 to 21 years :

College students or people of the age group of 16 to 21 years can start their body exercise with the aim of getting the right composition of muscles and fat. Many youngsters want to start off within the intention of becoming a hard core body builder. Instead of having this attitude while going for their routine body exercise, they should aim for not only right composition of muscles and fat but also they should work towards strengthening the bones too.

One should get into weight training by using own weights. Free squats ( without dumbbells) push up, dips and pull ups are all advisable rock climbing are good options. Sports not only help in building the body of an individual but it also helps in building mental stamina that is useful for them in studies as well.

One should hit the gym, only after crossing 18 years of age. If an individual of the age below 18 years, get into body exercise, he will then give the body the wrong shape. Also, if the person below the age group of 18 years try to build one muscle ( example: six pack abs, biceps), he might end up causing an imbalance in body musculature and can also lead to stressing of joints.

 2)      Age group between 20 to 30 years :

At this age, the body is fully grown. The main aim should now be to maintain the right metabolism and lay a strong foundation towards mid-life. At this age, an individual is usually engaged in a full time work routine, the workouts should consist of yoga, kick boxing, skipping or anything that helps in reducing stress. Get into the body exercise relating to joint training for the neck, limbs, lower back and abdominal muscles. At this age, do not ignore your paunch or bulky arm. Treat all body parts in an equal manner.

 3)       Age group between 25 to 30 years :

New mothers of the age of 25 to 30 years should get back to their pre-pregnancy size. New mothers, when aiming for body exercise, should focus on abdominal training and core muscle workout as these are the most used parts of the body during pregnancy. Your body exercise should aim towards focusing your back, stomach, hip and the pelvic region. Your body exercise will also help in lifting your mood.

Dieting should be avoided. Also, one should stay away from high intensity exercise which involves using of dumbbells or lifting heavy weights. One should avoid kick boxing and skipping too.

 4)      Age group of early to late 40 years :

People of this age group who go for routine body exercise should aim for improving the present health. One cannot avoid ageing. However, through body exercise, the ageing can be delayed. One can focus on stretching based exercise. However, do not over do it. Kick boxing, Karate are a strict no-no.

People of the age bracket of 40’S and 50’S, should use simple cardio vascular routine exercise. Body exercise, example :  light weights and brisk walking on the tread mill, can build your stamina. Swimming can also acts as a good routine body exercise.

Diabetes Natural Cures: Exercise, Good Eating Habits, And Raw Foods

September 25, 2009

When your mom or your dad has diabetes, usually people will ask you if you are also diabetic. Sad to say, but it’s true that diabetes runs in the family. There are even cases in which from the grandfather up to the grand children, everyone in the family has diabetes. Sometimes, it could be devastating to be a part of such medical history, but never lose hope. Diabetes can be easily managed only if you try to learn more about it and explore the many forms of treatment like natural cures. Treating it the natural way could range from exercise and good eating habits up to raw and health foods. But first, you have to know exactly what diabetes is and what are its types.

Essential info about diabetes

Diabetes is a disorder that affects the body’s way of using food for energy. Normally, your sugar intake is digested and is converted into a simple sugar called glucose. The glucose, then, circulates in the blood where it waits to enter your body’s cells to be used as fuel. However, glucose circulation is dependent on insulin, a hormone that is produced by the pancreas. Now, if the body does not produce insulin or produce too little, the balance between glucose and insulin is greatly affected; thus, that’s when the disorder comes in.

There are two main types of diabetes: the type 1 diabetes and the type 2 diabetes. In the former, the body is not able to produce insulin, while in the latter, it can produce insulin but the cells don’t respond to it. Nowadays, more and more people are suffering from type 2 diabetes, and so more tests are conducted to find more remedies.

Exercise, good eating habits, and raw foods

But to take control of diabetes, you don’t have to be fully dependent on medications prescribed by your doctor. There are actually three effective ways to manage diabetes the natural way. One is by doing regular exercise. You should know that people who are overweight are more likely to develop diabetes than those with normal weight. And those who are already suffering from such disorder, they should be more conscious about their weight because obesity can result to more complications. So to avoid gaining excessive weight, your body should perform daily activities to burn off fat and energy. It can range from doing simple household chores, walking, jogging, swimming, and many more.

Aside from exercise, having good eating habits and eating raw foods can also help you a lot in managing diabetes. If you are fond of eating take-out foods and processed foods, it’s high time you change your eating habit. Instead of being dependent on fast foods, better cook your own meals at home. But to really ensure good health, you can always choose eating raw foods like fruits, vegetables, cashews, cacao, and others. All these are rich in nutrients, but low in fats and cholesterol.

Being a part of a family with diabetes history does not mean that it’s the end of a fun life for you. You always have the option whether you’ll allow it to control or you will be the one to control it. Now, why don’t you try the natural cures for diabetes?
